TMC just got this update from Amanda.
We are so proud of her. Her transformation has been STUNNING!
She is living proof that ANYBODY FOCUSED and DETERMINED can ACHIEVE ANYTHING IN LIFE!
Here is her update in her own words:
Only 12 days until the Central Florida show and 20 until the Tampa Bay Classic and pre-show excitement is starting to set in. I have a lot of work ahead of me the next two and three weeks, but I know they will fly by!
On Wednesday my body fat was at 13.3% and I currently weigh 117 pounds (wow do you remember where I started?). We’re aiming for 11.5-12% by the Tampa Bay Classic so the training and cardio have been amplified big time this week.
I’m training with a five on, one off split to get an additional cardio session in there. Here’s what that looks like.
- Day 1: Upper Body
- Day 2: Lower Body
- Day 3: Abs and Calves
- Day 4: Upper Body
- Day 5: Lower Body
- Day 6: Off
- Sets: 4 Reps: 15-20
Cardio: 3x a Day (Only Morning Cardio on Off Day)
- First thing in the morning: 45 min. (20 min. StepMill/25 Walk on Incline with Jog Intervals)
- Post-Workout: Same as morning
- 3rd Session: As far from carb meals as possible, 30 min Walk on Incline with Jog Intervals
Diet: 6 meals 2.5-3 hours a part
- 1 30 g Carb Meal in Morning (Usually the Red Mill’s Gluten Free Hot Cereal or Steel Cut Oats)
- (2 Carb Meals on Upper Body Days)
- 30 g of Protein per Meal
- Miracle Reds in Morning and Macro Greens in Evening for Vitamins and Antioxidants
- ½ tbsp. Udo’s Oil with last Meal
- Powerade Zeros have been my saving grace for flavor.
I’ve attached some pictures. As you can see my right shoulder has a tendency to drop, that’s something that I will be consciously fixing when I pose daily from now on. I also started tanning daily after my morning cardio this week to get a nice base tan.
My suit will be done this week! I’ll be sure to take pictures in it this next weekend for you! I’ll also be getting my hair cut for the show and finding make-up this week.
It’s almost here.
At this point I can see and feel changes in my body daily. Hopefully the hard work I’ve put in will show on stage. Here we go…stuff gets serious now. I cannot miss a day of my training, cardio, tanning or posing from now on. I don’t want to be regretting slacking off these next 2-3 weeks and am ready to work my you-know-what off to look like I belong on that stage.
I’m so excited! I cannot believe how far I’ve come since last May.
I went clothing shopping on Friday and found out that I’m now a size 0! (I was a 7 when I started this quest)
Things like that remind me how far I’ve come when I lose sight of my goals.
It’s starting to get tough mentally and physically, but it will be worth it. The changes I’ve made to my life and body have already been worth the sweat.
What can we say?
Amanda is truly an inspiration to all of us. She represents the power of positive thought, perseverance and most importantly: DETERMINATION TO ACHIEVE HER GOALS!
Her bodyfat is so low, we really can’t nitpick anything. She is now entering the hardest part of the ordeal. She has to eliminate water, while at the same time trying to remain muscularly lean and full (ie not too depleted with flat muscles).
If any of our readers feel like they can offer her advice about anything related to her last couple of weeks, please post it here in the comments section.
Let’s all wish her the best of luck!
