TMC has been reading a lot about longevity recently.

The latest research indicates there are two key measurements which determine your life expectancy and vitality as you age.

  • Lung Capacity or “Pulmonary Function”
  • Heart Rate Recovery or “HRR”(Heart rate is assessed about 15-30 minutes post exercise and calculated by the # of Heart Beats per minute at rest)

The only way to improve both of these measurements is to challenge your body’s cardiovascular system through consistent lifelong cardio training.

You must challenge your lungs maximum power output over the course of your life through long or intense cardio sessions.(Or better yet, a combo of both types rotated)  Losing lung power speeds aging by making you vulnerable to infection and disease.  Being overweight or obese reduces lung power by 30% or more!

For all the Hardcore Bodybuilders and Physique Enhancement Folks who loathe and despise cardio with every fiber of their being, you should heed this article.

YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST PERFORM REGULAR CARDIO IF YOUR GOAL IS A PRODUCTIVE, HEALTHY AND EXTENDED LIFE!

There is one incredibly noticeable and distinguishing side effect from regular, focused and intense cardio.

LOW BODYFAT!!!!!

Your take home message is thus:

Improve your aerobic capacity and overall aerobic fitness and you are likely to live a lean, long and prosperous life.
