The Muscle Couple with some surreal pictures from the La Canada and Los Angeles Crest National Forest Fires.
We live in Eaton Canyon in Pasadena(just East of Altadena on the fire map) at the base of the San Gabriel Valley Canyons.(Angeles Crest)
These raging wildfires are less than 2.5 miles away from our community.
We’re enclosing some pictures we shot while driving around today.
These are truly amazing shots.

The Smoke in these canyons is less than 5 miles from our house!

The Flames are hard to see in this photo but they are close to the Dark Smoke Plumes.

It's Crazy to be Driving Around on a Sunny Day and Have this as the Vista!
We actually took some amazing photos this evening but you’d need an infra-red coder to view the flames in the darkness. Needless to say the fire is not even close to being contained and judging from looking out my 2nd floor window, on it’s way closer to the homes just north of us.
Our hats and hearts go out to the brave men and women of the LA County Fire Dept who continue to put their lives at risk protecting the thousands of homes lining the Foothill Region. As of this moment, not a single home has been destroyed. A truly amazing accomplishment.
Right now the winds are still at bay and Fire officials believe they will be able to contain the fire with controlled burns and backfires at some point in the next 5 days.
Keep your fingers crossed they are right.
Enjoy the rest of your weekends!
