Build a Better Body Experiment-Update #4!

July 27th, 2009 · No Comments

The Muscle Couple was recently provided with Michael Finn’s newest update.

He is making substantial progress!  Establishing new highs in body weight and increases in size of most bodypart measurements.

Here is his update in his own words:

Greetings from Cancun-

Hey Bro-Just wanted to drop you an update on my progress.  All this weight gain and heavy lifting has sent me south of the border to take a well needed rest and relax vacation.

So far so good on the gains and the routine.  My body has adapted really well to the workouts and it feels like second nature to me now.

My weight has been fluctuating from 201-205 and has been steadily hanging right around that range.  My goal is to get to a max weight of 210 and then work on maintaining weight and shift my focus on getting stronger from there.

My current daily intake has been roughly 3700 calories and 240 grams of protein a day(which is not easy!)  Keeping up with the abs has been a big priority because that weight is desperately trying to find a nice home in my stomach.

Besides the protein shakes 3 times a day, I’ve been keeping the diet pretty lax still with a shake and some sort of carb (wheat toast and peanut butter, oatmeal) for breakfast and some sort of meat with veggies for lunch and dinner.  I always have a bag of almonds, protein powder and a box of oatmeal in my car at all times so I’m never stranded without some sort of food-lol.

I’m really looking forward to switching up my routine and taking it to the next level by isolating workouts on individual body parts now.

Here’s a couple pics of my torture in the tropics.

Front Chest Shot-Notice the Improvement in Clavicular Chest Mass

Side Shot-Notice the Improved Size and Thickness of his upper arm!

We continue to be very impressed with Michael’s achievements in re-shaping his physique.

He will likely stagnate a bit over the next couple of months as his body has put on a lot of weight and he has gained a significant improvement in baseline strength.

The next update will be about his new training paradigm offering more specific muscle isolation and a Positions of Flexion training approach.
