BASIL THAI FOOD in Arcadia CA just off the 210 Freeway is absolutely the BOMB!  We’ve been eating there since 1995.   Established in 1991, Basil is owned and run by Poky-Nina and Tee Prasikiew.  

They are the very definition of a warm-friendly and Family Owned restaurant.  Almost everyone that eats there is personal friends with the Prasikiews.  

They have built an almost cult following in the San Gabriel Valley earning a well deserved reputation of “Favorite Thai Restaurant” among the locals of Arcadia-Pasadena and Monrovia.

With an array of over 70 different authentic dishes to choose, the variety doesn’t dissapoint and neither does the food.  The recipes from Basil are derived from the Prasikiew family which have been passed on through multiple generations.  

The inside of Basil is very inviting with elaborate decor and modern architecture.  The designer is actually one of the most renown architects of Thailand-Ravee Chosombatchai.
